RELIGIOUS EDUCATON SUMMER PROGRAM

After 19 years our Religious Education Summer Program has come to an end as instructed by the Bishop. Sr. Ellen left me a wonderful program to oversee. The children, the catechists, and the helpers have made the Summer Program a whopping success. We are truly blessed to have the dedication and devotion I saw each day as our catechists prepared and taught in the classrooms. We had over 30 catechists give two weeks of their time, talent and treasure to make their classes enjoyable, educational and engaging. The parents were kind and generous. They donated a ton of food and toiletries to the Catholic Charities Fr. English Center. They arrived on time and picked up on time, which is greatly appreciated. It was delightful to get to know the parents and students a little better. PARENTS: look for an email from me in the fall. It’s a survey to see which day of the week and time works best for the 2016-17 Religious Education Program, since we will no longer be allowed to have a summer program.
