Mass attendance is the source and summit of our Catholic faith. It is required that students attend mass twice a month, preferrably 4x a month. There is a mass at 6 PM on Sundays, which students and families are encouraged to attend. Students need to sign in if attending the 6 PM mass on the same night we have classes. Sign-in sheets located in the narthex/lobby of the church. If not attending the 6 PM mass, then they are required to bring the bulletin for the Mass they attend to their catechist.
October 1, 2023 - is the opening night of Confirmation Preparation. All candidates/students are required to attend the opening 6 PM Mass. Families are strongly encouraged to join their candidates/students at this one time Mass.
Starting in October 29, 2023 - students will have an opportunity to gain service hours by taking on specific roles during the 6 PM mass. Roles such as lector, music/singing, usher, greeter. Emails will be sent with more information and sign-up.
Our Lady of the Magnificat has ample opportunities to worship. Your family is needed and wanted at Mass. Please attend.

If you cannot attend Mass in person, then go to OLMchurch.org. Look on the left of the page for the Mass link. Or click on this link for OLM's Facebook page, . Each Sunday after 9:30 AM, OLM posts the recorded mass to our website and Facebook Page. In-person mass attendance is expected. If you are able to attend in-person then dispensation will not be given for virtual attendance. If you must attend virtually, consider sitting in your most comfortable chair with your favorite people around you, and sharing in the experience of attending Mass in your own home. Give it a try. You might like it.
If the candidate/student attends a virtual Mass and want to receive credit for attending, they need to hand into their catechist, the date and time and parish they virtually attended and who was the priest that served during the Mass. Also should include, one sentence that describes what the Gospel was about.
