Save the Date – Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, 9:30-1:30. This mini-retreat is a great way for women to enhance their Lenten journey. A light breakfast and a soup lunch will be served along with reflections from a wonderful speaker, Jan Figenshu, who is on staff at St. Vincent Martyr Parish in Madison. She has led many pilgrimages to the Holy Land and has written bible courses. She was awarded the Pope John Paul II Medal for Academic excellence in both 2001 and 2005 and the SHU Many are One Award in 2008. Jan has also received several community awards for her work with children in theater and children with special needs. Jan's responsibilities at St. Vincent include Adult Faith Formation, Liturgy, RCIA, and Bereavement.
This Advent season, Reconciliation is available every Monday evening until December 19th from 7:30 – 8:30 pm and Saturdays, 4 – 5 pm. This is a wonderful opportunity to re-connect with Christ and His Church. Don’t be afraid! Ask the priest to help you. Experience the gracious mercy of God!
Thank you OLM parishioners, OLM CCD program and the Knights of Columbus for donating 117 winter blankets and 90 hats to the homeless Veterans! Your generosity is greatly appreciated and these items will go a long way to assisting those in need. I was at KHS on Friday, 9-Dec., to help the KHS Give Back Club pack out the essential items collected and in turn the packs will be delivered to the Veterans later this month. Thank you for being such a giving community!
This is the Diocesan Newspaper which is available on two tables in the narthex. Some parishioners do receive it in the mail but so many copies are supplied to each parish for distribution. Take one home and read it.
We are beginning winter and with it comes snow and ice. Be careful driving and be sure to wear proper clothes for the cold. We will make every effort to have the lot and sidewalks clear for Mass, school and after school activities.
