If you haven’t already notified the rectory or signed up to attend, please, please do it this weekend. We need to give the caterers an accurate count for the food.
I want to express my deepest gratitude to Monsignor Carroll for his generosity and the support he has given me in so many ways during my time here at OLM. My gratitude also extends to Fr. Lukasz, Fr. Henry and Fr. Ed for their friendship and support. Special THANKS to the parish staff for the unconditional help and motivation that I have received from them. I also feel so grateful to my brother Knights of Columbus for their support and the picnic last Sunday for my Diaconate reception party. And a Special thanks to all the OLM families for their love and friendship. May the Lord Jesus bless you all abundantly!

Each year the Church celebrates 50 days of Easter, culminating at the feast of Pentecost which marks the occasion of God’s sending the Holy Spirit upon Jesus’ disciples after His resurrection. Before Pentecost, the disciples were unsure of what they were to do next, and spent most of their time in hiding. After Pentecost, and the gift of the Holy Spirit, they understood their mission to spread the Good News of Jesus, and they had the courage to come out of hiding and speak openly about who Jesus was, and what he had accomplished by dying and rising.
We are looking for items to be auctioned at the golf outing. Last year a parishioner almost discarded an autographed hockey stick which was worth big money to a hockey fan. It turns out her husband won it in a raffle many years ago. Another parishioner recently donated an autographed football by Ted Cruz of the Giants. You must have some baseballs, basketballs, footballs, hockey sticks, helmets, art work, jewelry, booze etc. collecting dust which Fr. Carroll would gladly take off your hands. Give him a call at the rectory 973-838-6838 or on his cell 973-713-3746. All we have to do is authenticate it. Thank you.

Each year Bishop Serratelli presents this award to a parishioner or parishioners from each parish for outstanding participation in parish life. The recipients this year are Conor Spillane and his Omah and Opah, Katherine and Stefan Missbrenner. Conor is involved in so many ministries they are too numerous to count. Kathy is a Eucharistic Minister, a third order Carmelite and a former Catechist and a member of a bible study group. Stefan is a faithful contributor and Conor’s chauffer. Congratulations!
A special thank you to the Knights of Columbus for hosting a Community Breakfast on 4/24 to benefit the teens of R.I.S.E. and their mission trip to upstate N.Y. in July. The generosity of the OLM parish, community members, and anonymous donations was beyond amazing! Nearly $3000 was raised. Combined with our previous fundraising efforts, we can now see our end goal in sight. Thank you for supporting all those involved in R.I.S.E as they help to do God’s work of helping those in need.
