Hello. My name is Erin Carr, I am the new Youth Minister at Our Lady of the Magnificat Church. I am from Vernon Township, NJ. My parents are Michael and Maureen Carr and I have three brothers Brendan, Patrick and Ryan, as well as a very large extended family. I enjoy all sports, especially baseball and football. I am Roman Catholic and absolutely love my faith. I attend St. Francis De Sales Church in Vernon. At St. Francis I am involved in many things, from being an Antioch Adult leader, Adult leader for the youth music ministry, Youth group leader, and Religious Education aide for grades 1st to 8th. I am very excited to begin this new journey and I am eager to bring innovative ideas, activities, mission trips and more to the OLM youth program. I am committed to making a difference in people's lives and that is one of my many hopes and dreams as I step into the role of Youth Minister. I hope to convey three things into the youth of OLM…Faith, Hope and Love. Lastly, I work full time with the New Jersey Jackals Professional Baseball team at Montclair State University as a Sales Associate. I look forward to meeting all of you!
Cards have been sent in the mail for those who did not get them in Church. Complete the card and bring it to Mass and either put them in the collection basket or give them to an usher or priest
If you forget your regular envelope, there should be white envelopes for that purpose in the pews. If not, just ask one of the priests for an envelope.
Fourth Week of Lent - Encounter Community. We encounter Maria in Mexico, where a community of hardworking women share joys, sorrows and fellowship while growing economic opportunity at a greenhouse. How have your communities helped you encounter Christ anew this lent? Visit crsricebowl.org for more.
March 25-26 is 4-Get Me Not Weekend. Since the Lenten fast reminds us of the importance of food, we are encouraged to give generously to our brothers and sisters who often have no choice about fasting and depend on our donations of non perishable food to feed their families.
Go raibh maith agat! In Ireland that means thank you. The teens of R.I.S.E. would like to thank you for supporting them and the Irish Soda Bread sale. It was a huge success, raising over $2000 for this summer's mission trip. Our goal is in sight due to the generosity of the OLM parishioners and the Kinnelon community.
St. Joseph knew something about maintenance. He was a carpenter. After the recent snow storm, our maintenance bills are bound to rise. Thanks for all your help.
Thank you to all parishioners who have completed and submitted their Commitment Card to the church. For those parishioners who have not yet had the opportunity to submit their card, a letter will be mailed to you with a personalized Commitment Card. It is important that all parishioners complete a Commitment Card as we will be mailing out a Summary Report of the program and need all commitments accounted for in this report. If you have any questions, please contact George in the church office. We also encourage all parishioners to consider our electronic giving method and to setup your reoccurring offertory gifts electronically.
