During the next three weekends, we will be highlighting different ministries each weekend after Mass in the Narthex. Please take a brochure which briefly describes what each ministry is about and who to contact. Stop by the table in the narthex for any questions or call the rectory. You are needed!! If by any chance there is a particular ministry in which you are interested and it is not represented or mentioned please call Msgr. Carroll, Fr. Lukasz or any one of the staff to discuss your suggestion. We may not be able to implement it immediately but with your help, something might develop.
I am grateful to God and to you for your prayers and support on the occasion of my Ordination to the Priesthood. I pray that God will continue to bless you and keep you and your family in his loving care. Sincerely yours, Fr. Yohan Serrano
To all those parishioners who have graduated or are graduating from elementary, secondary schools and college. We extend our best wishes and blessings for your future path.
The commitment for OLM is Saturday, June 16th. Anyone wishing to volunteer to cook please take a pan/recipe and add your name to the volunteer list found on a table in the narthex. Please drop off the frozen casserole at the OLM parking lot between 8:30-8:45 on Saturday, June 16th. If you would like to volunteer to serve with us or have any questions, please call Kathy/Joe Gravino at 1-973-830-0559. If you are unable to drop it off on Saturday the 16th, you may bring it early and have it put in the rectory freezer. See someone at the Parish office for assistance.
Lord God, thank you for this opportunity to get dressed up and have fun with friends as we eat, dance and laugh at the prom. Please keep us safe this evening, and give us strength to avoid temptations for any and all activities that would harm our relationship with you. May we be good role models in how we act, in what we say, in what we do and in how we dance. But also rejoice with us as we have fun. We pray this in your holy name, Amen.
What an achievement! What is next you ask? Well, he will spend as much time as possible with his immediately family and close friends. On May 31st he will receive his first priestly assignment from Bishop Serratelli and in the evening fly with his mom and dad to Columbia. There is a Mass in his honor which he will be the main celebrant. He will return to us on June 28 and on June 29, will report to his new assignment. Please remember him and pray for him daily.
May 31st, the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, is our parish’s feast day. Pray for all OLM parishioners with us and those who have gone before us.
Wed., June 13th Church Narthex - 7:30pm It is a gift to be a Eucharistic Minister, to share the Body and Blood of Christ with another. “It is not about being worthy or not, it’s is about being part of our church community.” In every celebration of the Eucharist there should be a sufficient number of ministers of Holy Communion so that the gifts may be distributed in a reverent and orderly manner. We need your help! Please take a moment to pray on this. Now may be the time for you to join this spiritually rewarding ministry. If you are interested in becoming part of this very special ministry, please contact Marianne Garibaldi (201-403-4216) or Lori Covello (201-874-7403). Thank you!
For each of the first three weekends of June there will be a continuous Ministry Fair, featuring the variety of parish ministries. Please take a moment before or after Mass to take a look at all the opportunities for involvement.
