Sept. 9th is the Sunday after Labor Day and the usual day for our parish picnic “Under the Tents”. Your ticket is a dessert (home made or store bought). If you forget it you are forgiven, but don’t let that be a reason for not coming. Please pray for good weather and for plenty of members of our Knights to volunteer to make and serve the food. To give us a rough idea of the number of attendees, please sign up and put an approximate number in your party. There will be plenty of entertainment for the children and wine, beer and soda for adults. If you want, bring your own chair. Set up is on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 9am.

Last weekend, Fr. Lukasz was in Massachusetts at a Life Teen Conference with our youth minister, 10+ teenagers and parents. Fr. Carroll, Fr. Henry and Fernando our custodian were on vacation and Connor our sacristan was on pilgrimage. Our pinch hitters, Fr. Jerry, OFM said four Masses, Fr. Ed said three Masses which included 2 funerals, Rob Rizzo, the parish landscaper, did three burials and Rich and Ewa Wolowicz did parish maintenance and even Fr. Yohan did one baptism. To make sure everything ran smoothly, Michael Pierce, Carol Mangani, Lori Covello and the parish staff were on call. I am so grateful to everyone that helped last weekend, so that Fr. Lukasz and I could get away. We are all back to normal this weekend!!! PHEW!
