Congratulations! Your upcoming wedding is not only a special day for the two of you but it is also a sacred event for the entire Church! Engaged couples wishing to enter the Sacrament of Marriage should consult with the Priest at least one year prior to the wedding. In addition, marriage preparation involves two programs which will be held at OLM: Life Skills on March 21 and God’s Plan on May 16. An appropriate way to remember a deceased relative or friend is to have a Mass offered for them. The donation goes directly to the parish and not to the priest who celebrates the Mass. Our weekday Mass intentions are not too full so we can schedule a Mass more quickly. The weekend Masses fill up first. If the Mass you wish to have offered is for someone who is living, please be sure to tell that to the person who is filling out the Mass card.

Show your love and support by purchasing chocolate Valentine pops and chocolate dipped pretzels for those you love. The youth of RISE are selling Valentine Pops for only $3. Chocolate dipped pretzels (2-pack) are $3.00 each or 2 for $5. Proceeds will defray trip costs of the participants for their mission travel in July to help fix homes for those in need in NY State. All of these delicious treats will be on sale after all Masses on the weekend of Feb. 8th & 9th. Enjoy a yummy treat while supporting a great cause! Gluten-fee? Peanut-free? No problem! We have you covered!

New team members are needed to welcome first-time parents and their babies who have scheduled a baptism at OLM. You will be asked to show a video on the sacrament of Baptism and answer any baptism questions that new parents might have. Training is provided by Fr. Lukasz. Baptismal Prep is once a month, ONLY if there is a baptism scheduled for 1st time parents (if no baptism is scheduled then that Baptismal Prep is cancelled for that month). We only schedule team members once or maybe twice throughout the year, and are flexible around your schedule. For more info call the office at 973-838-6838 Ext. 103.

HIDDEN TREASURES OF SOUTHERN ENGLAND Sept. 20 - 27 Highlights include visiting: Parish Church of Harescombe, (our OLM Chapel was modeled after), as well as Oxford, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Tetbury, Bath, Lymington-Yarmouth, Isle of White, East Cowes-Southhampton, Salisbury & Stonehenge. Do you play the drums, bass, guitar or piano? Are you looking to use your musical gifts and talents? OLM is looking for adult and young adult musicians to join the growing band at Sunday 6pm Masses. Featuring music written and performed by worship artists such as Chris Tomlin, Matt Maher, Bethel and Hillsong United, musicians should be comfortable with reading sheet music or chord charts and playing by ear. OLM will sponsor FREE bus transportation to the Right to Life March in Washington on Fri. Jan.24th. The bus will be leave OLM Chapel at 6:30am. Marchers should be in parking lot by 6:15am - return will be approx. 10:30pm. There will be a Holy Hour – Thurs. at 7:30pm in the Chapel for the intention of the unborn. NOTE: There is limited space and we anticipate the bus will fill quickly. The Knights will be collecting donations at upcoming Masses to help offset some of the cost of the trip!

February 1st is OLM’s next opportunity to feed the hungry at Eva’s Kitchen in Paterson. Anyone who wishes to volunteer to cook, please take a pan and add your name to the volunteer list on the table in the narthex. Frozen casseroles are to be dropped off at the OLM parking lot between 8:30-8:45 on Sat., Feb. 1st. Anyone unable to drop off the casserole may bring it to the rectory during business hours. Thank you for your donations to the Father English Food Pantry during the holidays. Please continue to help feed these poor families on 4Get Me Not weekend with donations of non perishable food items. Needed: breakfast items, cereal, pancake mix and syrup. Thank You!

Young adults ages 21 to 35 are invited to join us in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere 7-9 pm at ‘River of Beer’, 133 Hamburg Tpke (Main St.) Bloomingdale. Topic for discussion is Bioethics - Using Catholic principles to make ethical decisions on critical issues such as ~ euthanasia, suicide, in vitro fertilization, cloning, contraception, genetic engineering, extraordinary life support. Thank you to those who donated blankets and/or winter hats for the veterans. OLM collected 128 blankets and 93 winter hats! God bless you for your generosity.

The House of Hope is now reopened. We are ready for your donations!

We would like to report on the Christmas Fund which we established last year to help some of our families. Seventeen parishioners donated $5,850 which enabled us to help seventeen families and organizations have a Merry Christmas. We extend a sincere ‘thank you’ to all who contributed to this fund, including our matching gift donor.
