Carlos Roldan at the Fr. English Food Pantry was grateful for the food and checks we recently delivered from OLM. He told us that the pantry is distributing 1,000 bags of food every day. We were told that normally the pantry helped 7,000 families a month, but it has swelled to 11,000. The reality of that was evident by the line of people stretching around the block waiting to receive a bag of food. As we brought the food into the pantry, it also became apparent of the low food supply on the shelves. Carlos regards OLM as one of the special parishes he relies on. Thank you and God Bless!

May is the Month of Our Lady, one rich in tradition and a beautiful time of the year to honor our heavenly mother. She cares for all of us every day without fail, interceding for us in even the tiniest matters. Mary, Consolation of the afflicted, embrace all your children in distress and pray that God will stretch out his all-powerful hand and free us from this terrible pandemic, so that life can serenely resume its normal course. Amen
From the RISE Leadership Team: We just heard from RISE Headquarters. Sadly, yet wisely, they decided to cancel this year's mission trip. All the Rise teen's families will be contacted and refunds processed, as necessary. The funds raised this year will be used next year. Stay safe during these trying times.

All Catholic cemeteries in the Paterson Diocese will be open to visitors 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, allowing the public to visit the cemeteries after all interments are completed. This is to allow cemetery staffs the time to handle internments earlier in the day. Those who visit the graves of their loved ones must observe the requirements of social distancing and maintain a group of no more than 10 persons. These changes will remain in effect at each cemetery as long as health and safety regulations are observed.
While face to face gatherings have been suspended during the current health crisis, the Knights have continued to meet regularly on Zoom video meetings to continue their good work and plan for the future. Click this story for a photo of a recent meeting
Some folks have been asking when we are opening the church back up for live Masses. Unfortunately, we have not been given a date for when we can open. We are in constant contact with the Diocese of Paterson, who in turn, are working with the state on reopening plans. We will continue to share Masses on line and will be here for you as soon as possible. Stay safe, stay healthy and God Bless. Fr. Steve
