You’ll be challenged, you’ll have fun, and you’ll make new friends. 8. You’ll be helping our children deepen their relationship with Jesus. (You’ll be evangelizing!) 9. You’ll be handing on a 2000+-year-old Tradition that changes lives. 10. It’s our job: Jesus sent us to “go and teach all nations.” Religious Ed is still in need of catechist for Monday afternoons. RELIGIOUS ED. CONFIRMATION UPDATES Catechist: Gr. 1-6 meeting on Monday, 9/13 @ 7 PM in the auditorium. Gr. 7 & 8 meeting on Tuesday 9/14 @ 7 PM in the auditorium. The OLM Ladies Guild will resume their monthly meetings beginning on Monday, September 13th at 1:00 pm in the Ryan Room. For more information about the charitable works of the Ladies Guild, contact Diane Lattanzio at [email protected].

Today, Sunday, August 15th is a holy day that celebrates the Virgin Mary’s Ascension into Heaven, “body and soul”, after “having completed the course of her earthly life.” Blessed Mother, Pray for us.

Couples, were you married in 1971 or 1996? The Diocese of Paterson invites you to celebrate your 25th or 50th wedding anniversary during a special Mass to be offered at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Paterson, NJ. Bishop Sweeney will serve as main celebrant on this joyful occasion to be held: Sunday, November 7th, 2021 at 3:00pm. Arrangements can be made by contacting the parish office. The deadline to submit your registration to your parish office is Thursday, October 7th, 2021. You will receive additional information from the Office of Family Life once your registration has been processed. Congratulations on this joyous occasion!

All people are welcome and encouraged to partake in the Go 2 St. Joe Pilgrimage hosted by the Diocese of Paterson to celebrate the year of St. Joseph. To participate, visit www.insidethewalls.org/go2stjoe and print the pilgrimage passport. You then have until December 8th to visit 7 of the 11 locations listed on the passport. The Church can also be a place to heal. We are called to “be merciful like the Father.” So many suffer from the effects of abortion. The Archdiocese of Newark Respect Life Office will be hosting two upcoming Rachel’s Vineyard retreats to heal the wounds from abortion.
