The following is a service that counts toward the OLM 5 hour requirement.
The OLM Chili Makers needs help making chili that is sent down weekly to the Father English Food Pantry in Paterson. This is an activity that requires adult supervision and involvement.
If your teen is interested in participating - this is how it works:
Pick up the supplies from the closet in the Ryan Room any time the church is open. You will need to supply the 4 pounds of chopped meat. Once the chili is made, you should freeze it - then bring it over to the Rectory to put in the freezers in the garage. Once a week, someone takes what is in the Rectory freezer down to Paterson.
If you have any questions, please contact Marilyn Koziol: marjon2@optonline.net
Thank you and God Bless

The following is a service opportunity that your teen might be interested in. This one does not count toward the OLM 5 hour requirement:
Last year, Homelesssolutions.org created their first-ever "A Night in the Cold" event. This is a fundraising opportunity to raise critical funds and awareness about the homeless families and individuals in our community. They are running this event again this year. 100% of the funds raised by you will go towards their shelter programs and provide a warm and safe place for homeless families to rebuild their lives this winter.
Be part of this impactful experience! It's open to all ages. You can participate as an individual or team with friends, family, colleagues, sports teams or volunteer groups.
Where and how you participate is up to you! You can spend the night in a car, a tent, or a sleeping bag. Last year, some of the younger participants chose to sleep on their kitchen or garage floor, and some of our OLM participants slept in cardboard boxes. The choice is yours.
